Education: Our projects in this field have varied from simple interactive whiteboard installations to complex AMX/Crestron controlled lecture theatres incorporating room link, DSP audio processing, recording systems and video conferencing. We have also undertaken large, multiple room installations that incorporated, as part of a fixed price package, project management, commissioning, production of handover documentation and end user training. Corporate: Our most recent installation in the corporate field was in a large government facility in Scotland. This included Crestron control and Yamaha DME audio processing. Room dividers were used to maximise the flexibility of the space, automatically re-matrixing the video and audio sources and time alignment. Public Spaces: As part of a 'rollout' project, we have been carrying out a lot of work in the UK's major airports. A zoned back/foreground audio system is installed in line with stringent airport regulations, and at times works can only be performed 'out of hours'. Our experience working in what is a challenging security environment but also one where the health and safety of the general public is the overriding priority has proved invaluable. NHS: A challenging project undertaken in phases. High definition cameras installed in several operating theatres, along with video feeds from a variety of medical monitoring equipment were encoded and patched through the hospitals existing CAT5e infrastructure. These were then matrixed along with local sources to a twin projector system in the lecture theatre and screens in smaller teaching rooms. Bi-directional audio links provide for question answer sessions via headset radio mics and in ear monitoring systems. AMX control programming was provided as part of a complete package. Again, much of this work had to carried out during evenings and weekends to avoid disruption to both patients and staff. A challenging and interesting project, but not one for the queasy. Entertainment Venues: Installation of background and foreground audio systems in a large multi-screen cinema in the Midlands. This project also incorporated lighting for performance spaces along with associated dimming packs and control. |
